Zombie Barricade

The street is full of zombies and one wooden barricade stands between them and your crew. Survive as many waves as you can.

How to play Zombie Barricade

Zombies shuffle down the street toward your barricade. Your survivors stand behind it and fire automatically at whichever zombie is closest to breaking through. Your job is to back them up with grenades and to spend your coins wisely between waves.

When a zombie reaches the barricade it starts tearing at the wood. The wall bar at the bottom shows how much damage it can still take. If it drops to zero, the wave overruns you and the game ends.

Grenades need a few seconds to reload. The yellow bar at the bottom fills up when the next one is ready.

The zombies you will meet

  • Walkers are slow and steady. They make up most of every wave.
  • Runners wear yellow headbands and move twice as fast, but they go down quickly. They start appearing from wave 2.
  • Brutes are big, slow and very tough, and they hit the wall hard. Save a grenade for them. They show up from wave 3.
  • Bosses arrive every fifth wave. They take a long time to bring down and wreck the barricade in seconds if they reach it.

Upgrades

Every zombie drops coins, and clearing a wave pays a bonus. Between waves you can spend them at the supply stop:

  • Sharper rounds raise the damage of every bullet.
  • Faster hands make your crew shoot more often.
  • Recruit survivor adds another shooter, up to six.
  • Bigger grenades increase blast damage and size and shorten the reload.
  • Reinforce wall adds 120 to the barricade's maximum strength.
  • Repair wall restores the barricade to full strength.

Tips for surviving longer

  • Your first two or three purchases should be a third survivor and a damage upgrade. More guns early pays for itself with extra coins.
  • Throw grenades into groups, not at single walkers. One blast in a crowd can clear half a wave.
  • Keep a grenade ready for brutes and bosses. If they reach the wall, they do far more damage than anything else.
  • Repair only when the wall is badly hurt. Repairs get expensive, and reinforcing the wall often gives better value.
  • Before a boss wave (5, 10, 15 and so on), make sure your wall is close to full.
